There was little evidence of global warming in the East Cape as once again this year we encountered cool and green water, just as in the May tournament. We also experienced unseasonable winds out of the southeast.

45 anglers and yours truly enjoyed a good time in our largest tournament to date.
12 anglers fished for their first Marlin or Sail Fish and 7 were successful.

A total of 44 cruisers and 1 panga were used during the 5 days and 4 nights.

Ramon won the Rancho Leonero Tournament in 2006, and dominated this event with 5 Marlin.
Gary added 2 Dorado for the Top Team title.

Swede caught 2 Marlin and 2 Dorado for 2nd Place Angler, and Don added 4 Tuna to help the team capture 2nd Place Team honors.

Mike Tugwell, Carmel, CA captured 3rd Place Angler honors. Mike's total was: 1 Marlin, 1 Dorado, and 3 Tuna.

Ken also took the 2nd Day Non-bill money and trophy with his 43 lb. Dorado.
