Mike Totey, from Albany, Oregon took TOP NON BILL honors both days,
with a 61 lb. Dorado on Day 1, and a 52 lb. Wahoo on Day 2.
*****TOP ANGLER*****



Mike didn't stop with Top Non Bill honors, however!
He also won the Top Angler award!

John Kaeser,Seabeck, WA, Mike Totey, Albany, OR.
They caught 4 Marlin, and Mike's big Dorado and Wahoo.

*****3rd Place Team*****

Alan Shaefer,Cortez, CO, Dave Dillon, Durango, CO.
This team took 4 Marlin and 1 Dorado.

*****TOP ROOKIE*****

Alan Shaefer, Cortez, CO, had never caught a bill fish
caught 3 of the 3rd Place Team's 4 Marlin,
as well as the Dorado.


As the event concluded, all of the anglers gathered for a group photo,
along with the top three skippers and their trophies, (Back row).


The final fish count for 16 anglers who fished on a total of 15 cruisers:
10 Marlin - 4 Sail Fish - 39 Dorado - 2 Tuna - 1 Wahoo

While the Marlin numbers were down, it wasn't for a lack of fish, as they were spotted
in large numbers daily. They were very line shy- not willing to take baits or lures.

They supplied smoked fish for the opening and awards ceremony at the end.
