Rancho Leonero The first trip of the year got off to a slow start. We had 8 anglers and 8 guests at the Rancho Leonero. We found the facility and the food to be excellent as usual, and a good restful time was had by everyone.
However, only 3 Marlin were taken on the 2 day fishing event, due to cool temperatures and a lack of live bait. All trophies were presented by Karin Abbott-Hall.

We had a tie for between Tom Bell, of Albany, Oregon, and Denise Johnson, of Vancouver, Washington. They each caught a Striped Marlin, and it was the first for Tom, who also captured Top Rookie honors.   Tom Bell Denise Johnson  Mike Totey, also from Albany, Oregon, fished with Tom Bell, and they captured the Top Team honors. For the first time in Fish With Me's 25 year history, there was no Non-Bill taken, and the money transferred over to the Playa del Sol event.
