The last trip of the year greeted us with warm weather and no wind.

33 anglers fished on a total of 35 cruisers. 7 Non-fishing guests also enjoyed the weather and hospitality.

PLUS a TON of Giant Squid!
Catching squid before the fishing began


Each fishing day started out with the majority of the boats stoping and catching several 15 to 45 lb squid for chunk bait and tuna fishing. This was all within a mile of the beach and created quite a scene every day!

The trouble with the tuna was the fact they were 35 to 45 miles out and scattered.

Terry Cleavenger from El Paso, TX, took the largest tuna, a 68 lb. Yellow fin on day # 2. He is shown here accepting his trophy and day money.

Sandy Goldman from Gresham, OR presented all of the lucky anglers with their awards and prize money.

A total of $3,220.00 was up for grabs during the event.


Rookie Angler Scott Larson from Alta Loma, CA (on the left) and his partner Josh LaBarge from Upland, CA captured TOP TEAM honors.

Scott also took TOP ROOKIE and TOP ANGLER trophies on his very first try for the big fish! He is shown here with his 330 lb. Blue Marlin, which succumbed during the battle. This was the only bill fish taken- All others were released. Besides the Blue, Scott also caught a Sailfish and 4 Stripe Marlin!
