ENTERING MEXICO American and Canadian citizens travelling beyond border areas of Mexico or in any case exceeding a stay of 72 hours must obtain a TOURIST CARD. A tourist card is required for each individual visitor, regardless of age, and is provided free of charge. You may obtain a tourist card from your travel agent, or Mexican airline. you may also obtain a tourist card at any mexican tourist office, or Mexican Consulate. |

CITIZENS OF OTHER NATIONS SHOULD CONTACT THEIR NEAREST MEXICAN CONSULATE FOR ENTRY REQUIREMENTS.
MINORS (under 18 years): In additon to the tourist card, any minor entering Mexico without BOTH parents must also possess a NOTARIZED letter giving permission for the one parent to travel with the minor alone. This should be accompanied by the child's birth certificate. If parents are divorced or separated, the signed form must be accompanied by the divorce or separation papers. If one parent is deceased, the death certificate can be in lieu of the signature, but the surviving parent still must sign. If the parent is under legal guardianship, the guardian must sign the form and provide guardianship papers, and, if applicable, the death certificates for both parents.
